Lead Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead to help grow our Singapore engineering team. This role is hands-on and highly technical, with a strong focus on individual contribution alongside close collaboration with product teams. You will provide technical direction, translate product vision into scalable solutions, and serve as a foundational team member as the local engineering presence expands. The Singapore team plays a critical role in advancing product initiatives across global time zones.

Responsibilities

Lead high-impact software development, leveraging modern Gen AI-assisted code generation practices

Own technical delivery from concept through deployment and release

Partner closely with product managers to assess feasibility and enable seamless user experiences

Review pull requests to ensure code quality, system stability, and to mentor team members

Design and implement innovative technical solutions to complex, ambiguous problems

Requirements

5+ years of experience in Python, Go, Rust, or a similar object-oriented language

3+ years of experience with React

Proven experience building and operating distributed systems

Hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform)

Strong background in designing and optimizing APIs, data pipelines, SQL queries, and supporting infrastructure

Experience with event-driven architectures and technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ

Deep understanding of software engineering best practices, including system design, version control, CI/CD, testing, and code reviews
