Equipment Engineer (Front End)

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on production machinery and supporting equipment to ensure optimal operational performance and minimize downtime.

Collaborate with the Production team on yield improvement initiatives, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of process or equipment-related issues.

Monitor equipment and production line performance, identify abnormalities, and maintain the Keep-In-View (KIV) log for proper tracking, follow-up, and escalation.

Support engineering evaluations and data collection activities, including trial runs, calibration verification, machine qualification, and performance validation.

Assist in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability, productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

Prepare maintenance records, reports, and technical documentation in accordance with company procedures.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline with 1-5 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, for data entry, analysis, reporting, and documentation.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of motion control systems, including pneumatic systems, servo motors, and associated controls.

Understanding of thermofluid principles, including fluid mechanics and heat transfer applications.

Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting, preferably Mitsubishi Q-Series PLCs.

Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies and continuous improvement tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Able to prepare clear technical reports and present findings effectively
