Job Description
IT Support and Resolution:
Deliver multi-level technical support for Software, Hardware, Printers, E-mail, Network, and Telecommunication issues.
Servicing up to 100 shore-based users and providing similar remote assistance to fleet operations.
Fleet ICT Operations:
Understand Maritime Communications systems including VSAT and LEO systems and how they integrate to Vessel ICT and IOT Systems.
Able to address and manage ICT issues within the fleet as required, ensuring consistent and reliable IT support across all operations.
Cybersecurity Management:
Identify and mitigate cyber vulnerabilities within computer-based systems.
Implement technical procedures and protective measures to safeguard the availability and integrity of both Fleet and Shore-based systems and data.
Customer Service and Issue Management:
Employ exceptional customer service skills to engage with VIP, Shore and Fleet users, ensuring thorough follow-ups, timely feedback, and resolution of issues.
Proactively anticipate and mitigate potential IT challenges.
IT Administration and Configuration:
Manage IT profiles and equipment setups for new and departing users.
Offer expert guidance on Microsoft Office 365 and other Windows applications, facilitating issue resolution.
Inventory and Reporting:
Maintain accurate IT and user inventory/data records.
Compile and deliver monthly reports detailing system statuses, inventory levels, and user updates.
Backup and Data Recovery:
Oversee the backup server and enterprise backup systems, guaranteeing the reliable recovery of user data and email systems.
Meeting and Event Support:
Set up and maintain IT equipment in the Auditorium, Boardroom, and other meeting spaces as required.
Vendor Coordination:
Coordinate with vendors for the procurement and servicing of IT equipment.
Network and Domain Management:
Oversee the company's Domain Names and Public IP addresses. Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MS O365, Call Managers, and Firewalls.
Server and User Account Management:
Assist with server monitoring, configuration, and installation. Manage User Account security administration.
System and Application Maintenance:
Conduct analysis and troubleshooting for application and system failures. Perform both scheduled and emergency maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
Network Infrastructure Support:
Ensure the reliability and security of the network infrastructure, including switches and firewalls. Provide infrastructure support and maintain system integrity. This includes Server OS maintenance and Network Equipment maintenance.
Training and Development:
Conduct individual and group training sessions for shore-based and fleet users on IT systems and best practices.
Requirements
Minimum Diploma Holder in relevant disclipine with minimum 3 years of experience.
Ability to travel overseas and board vessels in any condition via various means and have basic understanding maritime operations is advantageous.
Experience managing ERP application and understating Business process will be advantageous.
Must have strong computer hardware and software proficiency.
Good communication skills, team player and ability to work independently.
Candidate with maritime industries experience will be an added advantage
