AS400 Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced

AS400 Developer

with strong expertise in IBM iSeries (AS400) application development and support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining AS400 applications using RPG, RPGLE, CLP, SQL, and DB2. Candidates with exposure to the Banking and Payments domain will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain applications on the IBM AS400 (iSeries) platform.

Develop and enhance programs using RPG, RPGLE, ILE RPG, CL, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400.

Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Perform code reviews, unit testing, and deployment activities.

Collaborate with business users, analysts, and cross-functional teams.

Ensure application performance, stability, and adherence to coding standards.

Support application modernization and system enhancement initiatives.

Prepare technical documentation and maintain development standards.

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience in

AS400 Development

Expertise in

RPG, RPGLE, CLP/CLLE, SQLRPGLE, DB2/400

.

Experience with

Query/400, SDA, PDM, SEU, RDi

.

Strong knowledge of SQL and database design principles.

Experience in application support, troubleshooting, and production support.

Good understanding of SDLC methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in

Core Banking Domain

(Preferred).

Experience in

Payments Domain

, including:

International Payments

Domestic Payments

Fund Transfers

SWIFT Payments

Payment Processing and Transaction Management

Exposure to Banking applications and financial transaction systems.

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
