Manufacturing System Engineer (DeltaV)
What You Will Do
Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will provide technical expertise to support the design, maintenance, optimization, and lifecycle management of manufacturing automation systems. You approved implementations within assigned scope, resolve moderate-complexity issues, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve system reliability, operational performance, and compliance with GMP, Good Engineering Practice (GEP), EHSS, and regulatory requirements.
Provide day-to-day automation support, including troubleshooting, incident investigation, system monitoring, change implementation, and coordination with relevant stakeholders. Escalate and work closely with the Senior Manufacturing Systems on complex, high-impact, or non-routine issues.
Assess, implement, test, deploy, and document automation changes in accordance with applicable SOPs and GMP requirements. Participate in technical discussions and provide technical assessment and advice within their assigned scope; engage the Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer for complex, high-impact, or non-routine changes.
Support technical work and small-to-medium automation projects from design and risk assessment through commissioning, qualification, startup, and handover.
Troubleshoot and investigate automation issues; prepare technical reports; implement technical solutions and CAPA actions; and identify recurring issues for improvement. Escalate complex issues to the Senior Automation Engineer.
Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve automation-system reliability, efficiency and compliance.
Monitor and analyze established metrics; recommend and implement approved improvements.
Promote Safety, Quality and Compliance culture and continuous improvement mindset that lead to plant safety, quality and compliance to regulatory requirement
Support audits and inspections and participate in discussions within their assigned technical scope.
Prepare and review technical specifications, test plans, change records, implementation plans, contingency measures, and as-built documentation.
Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Process Engineering, IT/OT, EHSS and external service providers to execute operational activities, changes and technical issue resolution.
Share technical knowledge and provide day-to-day guidance to junior engineers and contractors within their area of expertise.
