Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Trading Platform Application Engineer

to support project delivery, enhancements, and production support for our electronic trading platforms. You will work with vendor-based commercial trading and connectivity platforms to facilitate price discovery, trade execution, and post-trade processing.

Mandatory Requirements

Experience:

4+ years of hands-on software development and support experience.

Core Tech:

Strong proficiency in

Java development

for enterprise applications.

OS & Scripting:

Strong

Linux/Unix

administration/troubleshooting skills + Shell scripting ( Bash, Korn Shell, Python ).

Database:

Familiarity with relational databases and

SQL .

Domain Knowledge:

Mandatory experience in

Investment/Wealth Platform

or Capital Markets (Treasury, FX, Fixed Income, or Equities).

System Design:

Experience with high-throughput, distributed, and scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and integrations.

Support application onboarding, configuration, testing, and production implementation.

Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize application performance.

Develop automation scripts and operational tooling to improve efficiency.

Collaborate with business users, infrastructure teams, and external counterparties.

Highly Desired (Nice-to-Have)

FIX Protocol:

Knowledge of

FIX 4.x / FIX 5.x

(or FAST).

Messaging:

Experience with

Kafka, AMQ, or MQ .

DevOps:

Experience with

OpenShift , CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment.

APIs:

REST APIs and microservices architecture.
