Job Description

Able to read drawings

Able to follow specific tiling patterns

Able to lift heavy materials and equipment

Able to work independently without supervision

Able to use tile cutters and other tools of the trade

Strong manual skills

Cut tiles and shape them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles and in tight corners and odd spaces using power and hand tools

Follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to go about jobs

Identify and rectify wall and floor tiling defects

Inspecting surfaces to be tiled

Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break or damage tiles

Willing to work a midnight shift

Willing to work overtime

Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions (heat, cold, outdoors)
