Software Quality Engineer (UAT & Data Migration)

We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and data migration validation for a large-scale system implementation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system reliability, data accuracy, and smooth production cutover.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret functional specifications, test scenarios, and test cases

Design additional test scenarios to enhance test coverage

Prepare and manage test data (new, migrated, or dummy data)

Execute UAT in accordance with defined SOPs, including schedules, environments, and defect logging

Track defects, monitor resolutions, and ensure timely closure

Perform testing using manual and automated testing tools where required

Validate migrated data through file comparison (e.g. Excel) and system UI checks

Support end-to-end integration testing, production data migration, and system cutover activities

Requirements

Minimum 4 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering or equivalent roles

Hands-on experience across the SDLC

Strong understanding of test automation and risk-based testing approaches

Proven experience designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test suites

Experience in manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and API applications

Familiarity with cross-browser, cross-platform, and responsive UI testing

Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data validation and migration verification

Strong documentation and technical writing skills

Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently

Detail-oriented, collaborative, and dependable team player

Nice to Have

CSTP and/or CSQA certification

Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related disciplines
