Job Summary

Lead stamping process improvements by analyzing and resolving production issues, assisting in tool design, and training teams to meet quality, productivity, and cost targets in a high-speed stamping environment.

Responsibilities

Analyze and resolve stamping-related problems to meet productivity, quality, and cost objectives

Assist in reviewing stamping tool designs for new product development to ensure manufacturability

Collaborate with the Production Team to achieve operational goals and targets

Establish process capabilities, optimize parameter settings, and define mill cost, Bill of Material (BOM), and work instructions for dies and processes

Identify and propose cost reduction or upgrading programs to enhance quality and competitiveness for current and future stamping needs

Provide technical guidance and training to Toolmakers and Production Technicians to ensure effective operations

Train and lead a team of Toolmakers and Production Technicians to maintain high performance standards

Comply with safety requirements and promote safe working habits in the stamping area

Required competencies and certifications

Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering or NTC II in Tool and Die Making

For diploma holders: Minimum 5 years' experience in a high-speed stamping environment

For NTC II holders: Minimum 15 years' experience in die maintenance and stamping

Ability to read and interpret die and part drawings

Knowledge of metal forming and die making/die maintenance

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Initiative-taking and contribution of innovative ideas to improve stamping processes

Strong analytical skills and effective time management

Ability to work under tight schedules

Experience in running mass production of precision parts
