Core Network Engineer

Position: Cloud Core Network Senior Engineer

Job Description

Design, implement, integsrate, maintain, and optimize cloud-based core network platforms and services, including IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), Evolved Packet Core (EPC), and related voice and data network services.

Design and maintain cloud infrastructure components supporting core network services, including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and network functions.

Ensure the reliability, availability, performance, scalability, and security of cloud-based core network environments.

Perform technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of issues involving cloud infrastructure, core network applications, and network functions.

Implement and maintain appropriate security controls and operational practices for cloud-based systems and network services.

Provide technical expertise throughout project implementation, network deployment, integration, maintenance, service delivery, and technical support activities.

Support the planning, implementation, testing, and optimization of core network solutions in accordance with technical and operational requirements.

Monitor network performance and service quality and identify opportunities for operational efficiency, reliability, and cost optimization.

Collaborate with technical, project, operations, and customer-facing teams to support successful delivery of network projects and services.

Take ownership of assigned technical tasks and deliverables and complete work with appropriate levels of independence.

Prepare and present technical information, solution designs, implementation approaches, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

Provide technical knowledge sharing and training to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders when required.

Maintain awareness of relevant developments in cloud computing, telecommunications, core network technologies, virtualization, and network functions.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

Minimum

5 years of relevant professional experience

in core network, IMS, telecommunications, cloud infrastructure, network engineering, or a related technical field.

Relevant experience in

CS/IMS network design, deployment, integration, implementation, or maintenance

.

Experience supporting

5G IMS, VoLTE, VoWiFi, VoBB, RCS

, or related telecommunications services would be advantageous.

Experience with

NFV, NFVI, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, or network function deployment

would be advantageous.

Practical knowledge of cloud-based telecommunications infrastructure and core network service delivery.

Knowledge of IMS network components and architecture, including

CSCF, HSS, AS, MGCF, AGCF, ENUM, MRFC, MRFP, and SBC

, would be advantageous.

Knowledge of CS core network technologies, including

MSC, MGW, VNF, TCP/IP, VLAN, MPLS, and VRRP

, would be advantageous.

Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement appropriate solutions
