Nutanix Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage Nutanix clusters (AHV, AOS, Prism) across multiple environments (production, staging, development).

Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity planning, and ensure high availability.

Manage storage configurations and ensure data protection and disaster recovery solutions are in place.

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues within Nutanix HCI and related virtualization infrastructure.

Implement and maintain automation scripts for system deployment and monitoring.

Work with vendors and support teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Participate in on-call support rotation as needed.

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 2 years focused on Nutanix HCI.

Hands-on experience with Nutanix AOS, AHV, Prism Central/Element, and Nutanix Files/Objects.

Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies (AHV, VMware, Hyper-V).

Solid knowledge of networking, storage, and data protection concepts.

Proficient with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.

Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prism, Splunk, Zabbix, Nagios).

Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery tools (e.g., Veeam, HYCU).

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or higher certification.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.

Knowledge of security best practices in virtualization and infrastructure management.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible or Terraform.
