Role & responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance blockchain solutions for enterprise and Web3 applications.
Develop and deploy smart contracts using Solidity and EVM-compatible blockchain technologies.
Build and integrate decentralized applications (dApps), blockchain APIs, wallets, tokenization platforms, and digital-asset solutions.
Design blockchain components covering on-chain/off-chain architecture, transaction processing, data storage, indexing, and blockchain integrations.
Work with Ethereum, Layer 1/Layer 2 networks, EVM-compatible chains, and other relevant blockchain protocols.
Develop and optimize DeFi protocols, tokenization solutions, NFTs, stablecoins, staking, and other Web3 applications where applicable.
Implement robust smart-contract security, testing, auditing, gas optimization, and vulnerability mitigation practices.
Integrate blockchain applications with enterprise systems, payment platforms, APIs, databases, wallets, oracles, and external services.
Build backend services and APIs using technologies such as Node.js, Go, Python, or TypeScript.
Develop blockchain infrastructure including nodes, RPC services, indexing, event processing, and blockchain data pipelines.
Optimize blockchain applications for performance, scalability, reliability, transaction throughput, and gas efficiency.
Implement automated unit, integration, smart-contract, security, and end-to-end testing.
Work with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, cloud deployment, monitoring, and observability.
Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering best-practice initiatives.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, security teams, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies including Zero-Knowledge Proofs, Layer 2, cross‑chain interoperability, account abstraction, tokenization, and blockchain infrastructure.
Mentor junior and mid-level blockchain engineers and provide technical leadership on complex projects.
Ensure solutions meet applicable security, privacy, regulatory, compliance, and digital-asset governance requirements, particularly in financial‑services environments.
Preferred candidate profile
5 to 10 years of software engineering experience, with significant hands‑on experience in blockchain/Web3 development.
Strong expertise in Ethereum, EVM, Solidity, smart contracts, blockchain protocols, and decentralized applications.
Proven experience building and deploying production‑grade smart contracts and blockchain applications.
Strong programming skills in Solidity and at least one of Go, Rust, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
Hands‑on experience with Web3.js, Ethers.js, Hardhat, Foundry, Truffle, Remix, or equivalent development frameworks.
Strong understanding of smart-contract security, vulnerability assessment, testing, auditing, gas optimization, and secure coding practices.
Experience with DeFi, tokenization, NFTs, DAOs, stablecoins, staking, digital assets, and blockchain‑based financial applications.
Knowledge of Layer 1/Layer 2 networks, Ethereum scaling, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Solana, or other blockchain ecosystems is advantageous.
Understanding of cryptography, consensus mechanisms, wallets, private‑key management, transaction lifecycle, RPC, nodes, and blockchain data structures.
Experience with blockchain indexing and data technologies such as The Graph, GraphQL, Kafka, or custom indexing solutions.
Experience integrating oracles, Chainlink, cross‑chain protocols, bridges, decentralized storage, and external APIs is desirable.
Strong backend and distributed‑systems knowledge, including REST APIs, microservices, databases, event‑driven architecture, and system design.
Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, DevOps, monitoring, and cloud‑native development.
Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, high availability, and distributed systems.
Experience in financial services, fintech, digital assets, payments, tokenization, custody, or banking is highly desirable for Singapore‑based roles.
Knowledge of KYC/AML, digital‑asset regulations, cybersecurity, data privacy, and financial‑services compliance is an advantage.
Strong problem‑solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
Experience conducting code reviews, architecture reviews, mentoring, and technical design sessions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Blockchain, Distributed Systems, Cybersecurity, or FinTech is an advantage.
Relevant certifications in Blockchain, Ethereum, Cloud, Cybersecurity, or Smart Contract Development are desirable.
