Job Description

As an Automation Engineer, you will lead the design, development and implementation of advanced automated systems to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation in manufacturing operations.

Designing, developing, and deploying automated production systems that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.

Creating jigs, fixtures and tooling solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions.

Programming, commissioning, and maintaining PLCs, robotic systems and other automated equipment.

Developing intuitive user interfaces, dashboards and data visualization tools for real-time monitoring and control of automated processes.

Performing troubleshooting, debugging and performance optimization to ensure seamless operation of automation systems.

Staying abreast of emerging automation technologies, Industry 4.0 trends and IoT-enabled solutions to continuously improve manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, including PLCs, robotics, sensors and process optimization.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or ladder logic for PLCs.

Strong experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing automation systems and fixtures.

Solid understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts, IoT integration, and smart manufacturing technologies.

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.

Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments.

Experience in vision systems, machine learning for automation, or advanced robotics integration.

Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or SCADA platforms.
