Java Spark Developer

Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver fully tested Java source code that meets defined quality standards.

Design technical solutions using established design patterns and identify potential anti-patterns.

Analyze technical constraints and assess their functional impact.

Collaborate with architects and business analysts to clarify requirements and develop appropriate solutions.

Perform performance tuning and contribute to application optimization.

Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation.

Provide development estimates for technical solutions.

Develop test strategies in coordination with project managers and business analysts.

Perform design and code reviews for team members.

Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing.

Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and team practices.

Work effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Monitor and report software code quality indicators to relevant stakeholders.

Support other software development activities as required.

Requirements Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in software development and testing.

Strong hands-on experience with Java 17/21 and Spring Boot .

Experience with Unix shell scripting and MS SQL Server .

Experience with Apache Spark, Kubernetes and Docker .

Knowledge of both frontend and backend development.

Strong understanding of software design patterns, anti-patterns and performance tuning.

In-depth knowledge of relational databases, particularly MS SQL Server .

Experience with SQL profiling and query analysis.

Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Airflow or Control-M .

Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD or similar tools .

Good working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Preferred Skills Knowledge or experience in Risk applications or Risk technology .

Knowledge of project management and software development lifecycle practices.

Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP for data processing.

Experience working in enterprise or financial services environments.
