With proprietary deposition sources—including Magnetron Sputtering, Arc Evaporation, Filtered Cathodic Vacuum Arc (FCVA), Closed Space Sublimation (CSS), and Plasma-Enhanced CVD (PECVD), we help electronics, automotive, medical and industrial customers improve performance, durability and sustainability, from R&D through high-volume production. NTI Nanofilm operates across Singapore, China, Germany, Japan, India and Vietnam, and has been listed on the Singapore Exchange since 2020.
Job Purpose
To develop and test vacuum coating machines and coating sources, and to develop coating processes for different applications.
Responsibilities
(1) Coating Machine Development
Develop and optimize vacuum thin-film coating machines, with a strong understanding of vacuum systems, machine architecture, electrical/control systems, and system integration.
(2) Deposition Source Development
Develop, integrate, and optimize deposition and plasma sources, such as magnetron sputtering, arc/FCVA sources, ICP plasma sources, ion sources, and CVD/PECVD sources.
(3) Thin-Film Process Development
Develop and optimize PVD and CVD coating processes, including sputtering, arc deposition, ion-beam processes, ICP-CVD/PECVD, and plasma etching, with good understanding of plasma generation and plasma property.
Understand coating materials, film structures, properties, and characterization, including thickness, uniformity, adhesion, hardness, stress, composition, surface morphology, and other functional properties.
(5) Application & Customer Solution Development
Develop coating solutions for different industrial applications by translating customer requirements into suitable machine configurations, deposition sources, coating materials, and process recipes, and support machine testing, troubleshooting, qualification, and technology transfer.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, especially in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or other related fields.
At least 5 years of working experience in vacuum coating technology or thin-film deposition processes, such as PVD, CVD, sputtering, or other related technologies.
