J ob Title : Linux Engineer

Location: Singapore

Duration: 12 Month

Job Description:

Support and maintain Linux-based infrastructure for banking production systems, ensuring high availability and operational stability across a 24/7 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS) — user management, patching, performance monitoring

Write and maintain Bash/Shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and routine maintenance tasks

Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot production incidents during shift hours

Handle incident, problem, and change management tickets (ITIL-aligned)

Perform system upgrades, patching, and security hardening

Work rotational shifts (including night shifts) to provide round-the-clock coverage for banking systems

Escalate critical issues per defined SOPs and coordinate with L2/L3 teams

Maintain documentation of processes, runbooks, and incident reports

Mandatory Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) administration

Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and troubleshooting

Willingness to work 24/7 rotational shifts or fixed night shifts

Immediately available or short notice period

Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS)

Good to Have:

Experience in banking/financial services environment

Exposure to monitoring tools (Nagios, Splunk, SolarWinds)

ITIL process familiarity

Basic scripting in Python
