We are looking for a

Senior Automation Software Engineer

to develop and enhance software solutions that power automated machinery and industrial equipment.

You'll be working across software and hardware, turning machine requirements into reliable applications that control equipment, communicate with devices and support automated processes. This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone with strong

C++ development experience

and exposure to industrial or machine automation.

What You'll Be Doing

Build and enhance software applications used to operate and monitor automated equipment

Develop primarily in

C++

, with

C# / WPF

used for application and interface development

Connect software applications with machine hardware, including

motion controllers, sensors, actuators and I/O systems

Develop and maintain communication between different hardware and software components

Improve application performance through effective

multithreading, synchronisation and memory management

Diagnose software and machine-related issues and work through technical problems to identify root causes

Work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers during machine development and integration

Contribute to software architecture, code reviews, testing and continuous improvement

Produce maintainable, well-structured code and technical documentation

What We're Looking For

Degree in

Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field

5+ years of software development experience

, ideally within industrial automation, equipment, robotics or machine-control environments

Strong hands-on

C++

programming skills

Experience with

C# and WPF

is preferred

Practical experience integrating software with

motion control, I/O or other machine hardware

Good understanding of

Windows-based application development

Comfortable working with

multithreading, synchronisation and memory management

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Able to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams

Advantageous Experience

Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:

Semiconductor or precision automation equipment

Robotics or motion-control systems

Windows API / Win32

C++ Builder / Embarcadero

WPF / WinUI

GDI / GDI+

C++ Standard Library and templates
