Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript)

Job Description

We are looking for a

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

who enjoys turning ideas into real, working products.

In this role, you will work in a fast-moving product environment, partnering closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to take ambiguous problems from concept and prototype through to production.

You will have strong ownership across the full technology stack - from frontend and backend development to APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and deployment.

Salary Package: Up to $10,500 (basic) +AWS

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, test, deploy, and operate

full-stack web applications

end-to-end.

Develop solutions across

frontend, backend, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines

.

Translate product ideas and user needs into working software quickly, then continuously improve the product based on user feedback and business outcomes.

Work closely with

Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and business stakeholders

from discovery and prototyping through delivery and iteration.

Make practical architecture and technology decisions that balance

speed, scalability, maintainability, security, and performance

.

Build and integrate RESTful APIs, backend services, and data persistence layers.

Establish engineering foundations including

automated testing, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and security controls

.

Deploy and operate applications in cloud environments and troubleshoot production issues when required.

Participate in technical discussions, architecture design, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

Identify reusable components, frameworks, and engineering patterns that help accelerate future product development.

Take ownership of products throughout the lifecycle, from initial experimentation through production deployment and ongoing enhancement.

Requirements

Degree in

Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems

, or a related discipline.

At least

7 years of hands-on software engineering experience

.

Strong and recent hands-on development experience with

Node.js

and the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem.

Proven experience building and delivering

web applications end-to-end

.

Strong experience across:

Frontend web development

Backend/API development

Databases

Cloud infrastructure

CI/CD and automated deployment

Production application support

Good understanding of

modern web architecture, software design principles, scalability, security, and performance

.

Experience working with cloud platforms such as

AWS, Azure, or GCP

.

Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices including

Git, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and DevOps practices

.

Comfortable working independently and making technical decisions in environments where requirements may initially be unclear.

Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, delivery-focused mindset.

Good to Have

Experience taking a product from

idea / Proof of Concept (POC) / Minimum Viable Product (MVP) through to production

.

Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as

React, Next.js, Vue.js, or Angular

.

Experience with containerisation and cloud-native technologies such as

Docker and Kubernetes

.

Exposure to

Infrastructure as Code

and cloud automation.

Experience using

AI-assisted software development tools

, coding agents, code generation, or automated code review.

Experience working in

Agile cross-functional product teams

alongside Product Managers and Designers.
