Trading Systems Engineer (Rust)
A quantitative trading firm is seeking a Trading Systems Engineer to help build and scale a high-performance trading platform supporting live electronic trading across multiple venues.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain exchange connectivity, including market data and order management systems
Enhance and optimize low-latency trading infrastructure and execution systems
Build and extend core platform components such as OMS, execution engines, and risk controls
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of production trading systems
Collaborate closely with traders and quantitative researchers to deliver production-ready solutions and trading tools
Requirements
Strong commercial experience with Rust, including concurrent and performance-focused applications
At least 3 years of experience building backend systems in trading, market making, financial markets, or other latency-sensitive environments
Experience developing exchange connectivity, market data, and trade execution systems
Strong understanding of system profiling, performance optimization, and debugging
Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable engineering solutions
Preferred Skills
Python experience for tooling and prototyping
Exposure to quantitative trading, risk management, or pricing systems
Experience with live trading infrastructure and configuration management platforms
Background in high-performance or low-latency systems
