Data Engineer – SQL |Banking

Job Description

We are looking for a

hands-on Data Engineer

to join the technology team of a leading financial institution.

This is a

SQL-heavy engineering role

for someone who enjoys coding, working with large datasets and building reliable data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and optimise complex

SQL queries, stored procedures and data transformations

Build and maintain

ETL/ELT data pipelines

Work with large-scale datasets, data warehouses and relational databases

Perform data integration, validation and quality checks

Troubleshoot production/data issues and optimise performance

Work closely with technology and business teams to deliver data solutions

What we're looking for:

5-10 years

of experience in Data Engineering / ETL / Database Development

Strong

hands-on SQL coding

skills - this is essential

Experience with

Python / PySpark

is an advantage

Strong understanding of data modelling and data warehousing

Experience with ETL tools, Git and CI/CD

Banking / Financial Services experience is mandatory

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
