Job Description

Purpose of the position

The purpose of this position is to plan and conduct engineering projects of a complex nature to meet client requirements.

Accountabilities

Applies a robust understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical, economical and innovative solutions to problems

Produces designs, documentation, specifications, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity under the guidance of senior staff

Prepares client reports, presentations and updates

Contributes to project planning and ensures their work is delivered within programme and budget

Liaises with drafters to enable preparation of design documentation

Checks Graduate Engineers’ work as directed

Represents the company professionally with client representatives and other consultants

Interprets and communicates information effectively to different stakeholders

Takes appropriate responsibility for the planning and management of resources for small or medium projects, or aspects of larger projects, including technical outcomes and adherence to project schedule/timelines

Ensures compliance with applicable Codes, local authorities requirements and policies including WHS practices and Quality Assurance

Coordinates with clients and other consultants on design, construction, and submission aspects of projects

Attends technical / site meetings as required
