Senior Software Engineer - Scala/Java

Job Description

We are looking for a

Senior Software Engineer

with strong experience in Scala/Java development and a background in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of software engineering practices, Agile methodologies, and modern development tools.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain applications using

Scala/Java

Apply

OOP and Functional Programming

principles

Design and implement solutions using

CQRS and Event Sourcing

Follow

TDD, BDD and clean code

practices

Develop and maintain automated CI/CD processes

Work closely with teams in an

Agile/Scrum

environment

Analyze and optimize existing code and application performance

Clearly communicate technical designs and solutions

Must-Have Skills

5+ years of experience in

Scala/Java development

Strong knowledge of

OOP and Functional Programming

Experience with

CQRS and Event Sourcing

Knowledge of

Design Patterns and software engineering best practices

Experience with

TDD, BDD, ATDD and Feature Files

Hands-on experience with

Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory and Ansible

Experience working in

Agile/Scrum

environments

Good written and verbal communication skills

Good to Have

Experience with

ReactJS, AngularJS or Elasticsearch

Knowledge of

AMPS messaging

Experience with

SQL/database programming

Knowledge of

Capital Markets

, especially securities trade processing, clearing and settlements

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
