About the job IT Network and Security Engineer

To design, implement, maintain, and support our expanding network infrastructure, while ensuring alignment with corporate security policies at the local level within a banking environment.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in network protocols, troubleshooting, and a proactive approach to optimizing network performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and support LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure to meet business and operational needs.

Configure, install, and maintain networking devices such as firewalls, routers, switches, and access points.

Monitor and optimize network performance, including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across on-premise and cloud-based environments.

Respond to network related incidents and participate in change management processes.

Collaborate closely with cybersecurity teams to implement and uphold network security best practices.

Conduct capacity planning and recommend upgrades to support future growth and performance.

Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Strong hands-on experience in network engineering, with a strong track record in enterprise network design and management.

In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and security standards.

Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise networking equipment such as Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent infrastructure.

Solid understanding of core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, and OSPF.

Proven experience with firewall technologies, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and implementing network security best practices.

Certifications such as CCNP, Juniper Networks Certified Specialist, and CompTIA Network+ are advantageous

AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty is considered a strong plus.
