Role Summary Responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise backup and storage infrastructure to ensure data protection, system reliability, and high service availability.

Key Responsibilities Administer and support enterprise backup environments using Veritas NetBackup (Master/Media Servers).

Manage backup appliances, storage systems, and backup repositories.

Configure and maintain Data Domain systems and deduplication technologies.

Operate and support tape backup infrastructure and libraries.

Manage cloud-based backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Azure Recovery Services Vault).

Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure SLA compliance.

Diagnose and resolve issues across backup, storage, SAN, and tape environments.

Support SAN infrastructure and address connectivity issues.

Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve incidents and implement solutions.

Follow ITSM/ITIL processes including incident, change, and problem management.

Prepare operational reports and recommend improvements.

Provide on-call support and handle escalations when required.

Skills & Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

510 years of experience in backup and storage administration.

Strong hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup.

Experience with Data Domain systems and backup technologies.

Knowledge of tape backup systems and operations.

Familiarity with cloud backup solutions (e.g., Azure).

Experience with SAN environments and storage connectivity.

Working knowledge of Unix, Linux, and Windows systems.

Basic scripting/automation skills for backup operations.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
