System Engineer

We are seeking a System Engineer to support and maintain Windows and Linux server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. The role involves system administration, incident management, patching, monitoring, and ensuring the availability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and support Windows and RHEL servers hosted on virtualized and cloud environments.

Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and Group Policies.

Monitor system health, performance, and availability to meet service levels.

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, problems, and service requests.

Perform system patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.

Manage backup and recovery operations.

Review logs and implement corrective actions where required.

Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.

Coordinate with application, network, security, and vendor teams on infrastructure-related issues and projects.

Support change management activities and operational improvements.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Experience in Windows Server administration and Active Directory management.

Knowledge of RHEL/Linux administration.

Experience with virtualization platforms such as Nutanix or Hyper-V.

Exposure to AWS cloud services is advantageous.

Familiarity with system monitoring, backup, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.

Knowledge of scripting or automation tools will be an advantage.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Willingness to support after-hours activities when required.
