Full Stack Developer (Python/Django + Next.js)

About the Role We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using Python/Django on the backend and Next.js on the frontend. You'll work across the stack — from REST API design to cloud deployment — and play a key role in shaping our engineering practices around testing and code quality.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Django (backend) and Next.js (frontend)

Design and implement RESTful APIs following best practices for scalability, security, and maintainability

Write and maintain automated tests using Pytest (backend), Jest (unit/integration), and Playwright (end-to-end)

Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Containerize applications and services using Docker

Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver features end-to-end

Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design discussions

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across the stack

Required Skills & Experience Strong proficiency in Python and the Django framework

Solid experience with Next.js (React-based) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript

Hands-on experience designing and consuming REST APIs

Practical knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) using Pytest, Jest, and Playwright

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Build, Cloud Deployment, Cloud Storage, etc.)

Working knowledge of Docker and containerized deployments

Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and ORM patterns (Django ORM)

Strong understanding of version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows

Nice to Have Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, etc.)

Exposure to microservices architecture

Prior experience in an agile/scrum environment
