Developer (Java & Python)- Contract (Banking/Fintech)

Contract role

Banking/Fintech exposure is must

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain applications using

Java 8+, Spring Boot and Python .

Design and implement scalable solutions based on business and system requirements.

Develop Python applications/scripts for

automation, data processing, system integration and application support .

Analyze and resolve complex application and legacy system issues.

Develop and maintain

REST/SOAP web services

and messaging solutions using

JMS/IBM MQ .

Apply software engineering principles including

object-oriented design, algorithms and data structures .

Implement

TDD, unit testing and acceptance testing

to ensure software quality.

Design and optimize SQL queries using

Oracle/MySQL

and relational database concepts.

Follow secure coding, performance and code quality standards.

Use

Git, Maven, IntelliJ and SonarQube/SonarLint

for development and code quality management.

Perform basic

Linux shell scripting

to support development and deployment activities.

Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Degree in

Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering , or a related discipline.

Strong hands-on experience in

Java 8+, Spring Boot and Python .

Atleast 5 years of hands on experience on

Java & Python development

Good knowledge of

Spring Core, JUnit, TDD and object-oriented programming .

Experience with

REST/SOAP, JMS/IBM MQ and SQL .

Hands-on experience with

Oracle and/or MySQL

databases and SQL optimization.

Experience with

Maven, Git, IntelliJ and SonarQube/SonarLint .

Working knowledge of

Linux/Unix shell scripting .

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Banking/fintech experience is advantageous.
