Senior Software Engineer (Java)

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to build cloud-native, event-driven apps with Java, Spring Boot, React and Kafka. You will design microservices, ship through CI/CD and improve reliability in production on Microsoft Azure with a team that values clean engineering and ownership.

Responsibilities

Build and enhance full stack features using Java, Spring Boot and React

Design microservices and event-driven workflows using Apache Kafka

Create and maintain REST application programming interfaces (APIs) and integrations

Improve delivery pipelines using continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices

Deploy and run services on Microsoft Azure using containers

Partner with product, QA and engineering peers in Agile ceremonies

Troubleshoot production issues and drive reliability improvements

Requirements

Proven experience with Java development in enterprise environments

Strong background in Spring Boot and microservices architecture

Hands-on experience building Front-end features with React.js, JavaScript, HyperText Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns

Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and container tooling such as Docker and Kubernetes (K8s)

Proficiency with Git, CI/CD workflows and production support practices

Solid knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and database integration patterns

Nice to have

Background in banking or financial services

Cloud certifications are a plus (Microsoft Azure preferred)

Experience with Kubernetes
