VP, Team Lead, Application Developer, Institutional Banking Group Technology, Group Technology

Business Function Group Technology enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Technology, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of application developers to design, build, and deploy robust corporate banking applications.

Drive the technical roadmap, system architecture, and design patterns to ensure scalability, security, and high performance.

Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Ensure adherence to organizational coding standards, security guidelines, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements

Proven experience in leading and managing application development teams within the financial services sector, specifically in corporate banking.

Strong hands‑on technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and cloud platforms.

Deep understanding of modern database technologies, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.

Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-powered engineering tools to improve software development productivity, solution design, code quality, testing, troubleshooting and operational efficiency.

Demonstrated track record of delivering complex, scalable, and secure enterprise‑grade software solutions.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with a focus on driving innovation.

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
