The Emerging Systems Division focuses research and development on a broad spectrum of capabilities that are critical to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) defence systems. These include antenna design and electromagnetics, as well as next-wave technologies in the areas of lasers and advanced materials.

System Administrator (Emerging Systems)

In This Role, You Will

Provide and maintain a secure, robust and reliable infrastructure for IT systems used for R&D projects

Maintain expertise in the management and security of Linux and Windows IT systems

Gather requirements and implement suitable hardware and software solutions for Linux and Windows IT systems

Implement and maintain system security in accordance to the cybersecurity policy

Perform periodic preventive and corrective maintenance, updates and upgrades to software / hardware, including operating systems, applications and security software

Job Requirements

Degree/ Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Information Systems

Good knowledge and technical hands‑on experience in Linux, Windows Desktop and/or Server technology

Strong analytical skills and has a flair for dealing with technical and operational problems

Experience and knowledge of Windows or Linux environment and security applications, IT Asset management
