The Hardware Engineer is responsible for the design, development, debugging, and verification of silicon photonics hardware systems. This role involves supporting hardware design across chips, optical engines, evaluation boards, and optical modules, while ensuring high-speed signal integrity and seamless integration with advanced circuits.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the design, development, debugging and verification of silicon photonics hardware systems, including high-speed, power, sampling and control circuits;
Support hardware design for silicon photonics chips, optical engines, evaluation boards and optical module reference designs, including schematic design, PCB layout coordination and hardware debugging;
Assist with the design and verification of high-speed signal chains and interface circuits involving SerDes, TIA, drivers, CDR, DSP, MCU or FPGA;
Prepare hardware design documents, BOMs, test reports and debugging records, and work with suppliers on component selection, sample validation and engineering issue resolution.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, Physics or a related discipline;
Solid foundation in analog and digital circuits, with good hands-on laboratory skills;
Knowledge of high-frequency circuits, transmission lines, signal integrity and common hardware interfaces is preferred;
Project experience involving evaluation boards, optical modules or related hardware is preferred, together with good analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
