Salary: S$6,500 - S$7,000/month

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop and maintain embedded software for next-generation Net Zero and energy-management products. The role will focus on Embedded Linux, C/C++, Linux distributions, ARM-based systems, device-level integration, Home Energy Management Systems, and scalable software architectures for global markets.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain embedded software for Net Zero and energy-management products.

Build reusable software components and common platforms across multiple products.

Work closely with a small engineering team to deliver high-quality software within project timelines.

Evaluate and standardize embedded Linux distributions such as Yocto or Buildroot .

Develop Home Energy Management System solutions using a common Linux stack and open-source platforms such as Home Assistant .

Support future integration of edge AI / local AI capabilities .

Participate across the full SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Research and evaluate emerging embedded, connectivity, and energy-management technologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering , or a related discipline.

Minimum 3+ years of embedded software development experience .

Strong programming skills in C / C++ .

Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux .

Experience with Yocto, Buildroot , or similar Linux distributions.

Familiarity with Linux kernel development .

Experience with ARM SoCs , low-level programming, and device drivers.

Experience with Home Assistant or similar home automation platforms is advantageous.

Exposure to EV charging systems is a plus.

Knowledge of communication protocols and modern wireless technologies such as Thread, Wi-Fi, BLE , or related technologies.

Understanding of embedded cybersecurity, secure design, and product compliance requirements.

Familiarity with edge AI or AI-enabled embedded systems is advantageous.

Experience developing products for international markets is a plus
