Senior Hardware Engineer

Our client is an established global technology group with a long standing engineering presence in Singapore, developing high performance test and measurement instrumentation used worldwide.

Responsibilities

Design and develop baseband hardware for high-performance signal analysis and network measurement instruments

Take ownership of the underlying building blocks, spanning high-speed digital I/O interfaces, power management, memory and associated interface design

Build and configure test environments to verify that hardware meets its functional and performance specifications

Investigate hardware issues through to root cause and develop practical solutions

Work closely with colleagues across firmware, software, mechanical and product functions to bring products to a successful release

Lead or contribute to the transfer of newly developed products from engineering into the manufacturing environment

Requirements

A degree or master's in Electrical, Electronic or Communications Engineering, or a related discipline

5 years of hardware development experience in consumer electronics or test and measurement

Practical design experience across high-speed digital interfaces, power management and memory subsystems

Sound working knowledge of design considerations for EMC and environmental safety

Strong problem solving ability, with the judgement to prioritise and keep the wider context in view

A collaborative team player who takes ownership and communicates clearly across functions
