Site Reliability Engineer

Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Monitoring & Automation Engineer Key Responsibilities Implement and maintain observability and proactive monitoring solutions to ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.

Install, configure, and administer monitoring and observability tools for system, application, and log monitoring.

Enhance and integrate monitoring solutions to enable proactive issue detection and improve operational efficiency.

Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics to provide operational insights and identify performance trends.

Analyse application logs, system metrics, and monitoring data to troubleshoot issues and support root cause analysis.

Automate day-to-day operational tasks using Ansible, Jenkins, Shell Scripting, PowerShell, and Python to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Develop and maintain automation scripts for system administration, deployment, and operational workflows.

Support Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives to improve system stability, availability, and operational excellence.

Handle service requests related to monitoring, automation, and platform reliability.

Provide on-call and after-hours support for production incidents, critical service requests, and project cutover activities as required.

Collaborate with infrastructure, application, database, and middleware teams to resolve incidents and implement preventive measures.

Continuously improve monitoring coverage, alerting mechanisms, and operational processes through automation and best practices.

Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and monitoring standards.

Required Skills & Experience Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering , or a related discipline.

Minimum 2 years of experience in IT Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Monitoring, or Infrastructure Automation .

Hands-on experience with scripting and automation using Ansible, Shell Scripting, Python, and/or PowerShell .

Experience implementing and managing monitoring and observability platforms.

Strong knowledge of log analysis, metrics collection, dashboard creation, and alert management.

Familiarity with Windows, Linux, Unix, AWS Cloud, databases, and middleware platforms .

Experience with analytics and visualisation tools such as Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), and SQL .

Understanding of incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, and production support processes.

Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins is highly desirable.

SRE, Cloud, Linux, or Automation-related certifications are advantageous.

Self-motivated with strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
