C# Developer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior C# / .NET Engineer to join a high performing enterprise technology team supporting applications across various financial operations and products. The team is undergoing a capability uplift and is looking for highly capable senior engineers who can operate independently and deliver cloud-native solutions with minimal supervision.

About the Role

This is a backend-focused engineering role responsible for developing and supporting business-critical trade operations platforms. You will work on both project delivery and BAU support, partnering with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

What You'll Do

Develop and enhance applications using C# and .NET Core

Build and support cloud-native, containerised applications

Work with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EKS), but Azure or GCP experience is also valued

Deliver new features and enhancements for trade operations systems

Support and maintain existing production applications

Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions

Troubleshoot issues and drive improvements across the platform

Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices

Utilise modern development tooling, including AI-assisted development where appropriate

Must-Have Experience

8+ years of software development experience

Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core

Experience building backend enterprise applications

Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Experience with containerised environments and modern deployment practices

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivery

Experience engaging with business stakeholders

Nice-to-Have Experience

AWS EKS or Kubernetes

UI / Frontend development experience

Test Driven Development (TDD)

Messaging technologies

AI-assisted development tools

Financial services, trading, or investment management experience
