Technical Director, Water

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director, Water to join our team in Singapore, Singapore. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing all technical aspects of our water-related projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation in water resource management.

Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical professionals in the planning, design, and implementation of water infrastructure projects

Develop and execute strategic plans for water resource management, treatment, and distribution systems

Oversee the technical aspects of large-scale water projects, including hydraulic modeling and environmental impact assessments

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget

Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex water engineering challenges

Develop and implement water policies and strategies aligned with regulatory requirements and sustainability goals

Represent the organization in technical forums, conferences, and meetings with stakeholders

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in the water sector to drive innovation within the organization

Ensure compliance with local and international water regulations and standards

Manage project budgets and financial planning for water-related initiatives

Qualifications

Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field

Professional Engineering (PE) license

10+ years of experience in water engineering or a related field, with a proven track record in managing large-scale water projects

Extensive knowledge of water treatment and distribution systems, wastewater management, and stormwater management

Strong expertise in hydraulic modeling and environmental impact assessment

Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing water policies and strategies

Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously

Proficiency in water resource management software and tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Exceptional leadership and team management abilities

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences

Experience in budgeting and financial planning for large-scale projects

In-depth understanding of water conservation and sustainability practices

Thorough knowledge of regulatory compliance in the water sector

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
