Assistant Engineer

1. Shift Operations Management

. Lead and supervise production operators and technicians during the assigned shift.

. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational procedures.

. Monitor production activities and take corrective actions to resolve operational issues.

. Conduct shift handover meetings and communicate critical information.

2. Production Planning & Shipment Coordination

. Plan and prioritize daily production activities according to shipment requirements.

. Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure on-time delivery.

. Review production schedules and adjust priorities based on customer demand and capacity constraints.

. Monitor order fulfillment status and expedite urgent customer requirements.

3. Data Monitoring & Analysis

. Track key operational KPIs including:

. Production Output

. OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

. On-Time Delivery (OTD)

. Scrap Rate

. Yield Performance

. Downtime

. Backlog Status

. Analyze production and shipment data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.

. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.

. Escalate potential delivery risks to management promptly.

. 4. Resource Management

. Plan manpower allocation according to production requirements.

. Monitor workforce attendance, overtime, and productivity.

. Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational targets.

. Support training and competency development of operators.

5. Continuous Improvement

. Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

. Identify process bottlenecks affecting productivity or shipment performance.

. Support lean manufacturing, 5S, and operational excellence programs.

. Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

. 6. Quality & Compliance

. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

. Support internal and external audits.

. Investigate production deviations and implement corrective actions.

. Promote a strong safety culture within the shift team.
