Applied AI Engineer

Responsibilities:

Design, develop and deploy AI-powered features from concept to production.

Build and optimise prompt engineering, AI agent workflows, memory systems and external tool integrations.

Develop reliable and structured AI application behaviour from Large Language Model (LLM) outputs.

Debug and resolve issues across AI models, orchestration, infrastructure and application layers.

Improve system performance with a focus on latency, scalability, reliability and cost optimisation.

Develop evaluation frameworks and performance metrics to measure AI solution effectiveness.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions.

Continuously enhance AI systems through experimentation, testing and production feedback.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or a related discipline.

Strong foundation in machine learning and modern neural network architectures.

Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning or deploying machine learning models.

Strong programming skills in Python with the ability to develop production-quality software.

Experience building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) or Generative AI technologies.

Familiarity with model serving, inference optimisation and production deployment.

Experience integrating AI models with external tools, APIs or enterprise applications.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Technical Skills:

Experience in one or more of the following technologies will be advantageous:

Python

PyTorch or JAX

Large Language Models (LLMs)

Model inference and serving platforms

Vector databases

AI agent frameworks and orchestration platforms

RESTful APIs and cloud-native application development
