Job responsibilities:
Oversee, manage and monitor construction projects from conception to completion with detailed cost-effective execution plans
Manage construction workers and subcontractors
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists
Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations
Monitor and report to Project Manager / Senior Construction Manager of project details, including progress, risks and opportunities in a timely manner.
Ensures all changes to specifications, work scopes and drawings are properly documented
Swift respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems
Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance. Provide recommendations and institute measures for improvement by modification to operating procedures/work instructions.
Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks throughout the Company.
Manage material at construction site to ensure zero wastage and no overstock of material
Manage company assets and equipment rental to ensure optimal utilization and cost
Manage manpower and overtime cost to ensure optimal cost benefit within or below budget
Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the management.
Requirements:
Degree / Master in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or relevant field.
Proven at least 5 years of working experience in construction management in the public and private residential, government and commercial building projects.
Solid technical knowledge related to structural, architectural (finishing) or M&E works.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent team player with ability to meet tight deadlines.
