Shift Trader Systematic Trading

Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a Shift Trader to join a top-tier global quantitative trading firm. This role sits directly at the heart of their electronic trading environment, focusing on live systematic trading supervision, real-time risk oversight, shift coverage, and internal tooling engineering.

Responsibilities

Monitor systematic trading strategies, orders, executions, positions, P&L, exposures, and relevant risk limits in real time.

Respond to trading and production alerts, investigate issues, and escalate incidents to the appropriate teams.

Take approved operational or trading actions in accordance with established procedures and controls.

Support the continuity of trading activities across different market hours through effective shift coverage and clear handovers.

Monitor trading systems and processes, including restarting or recovering services when required under established procedures.

Assist with trade booking, hedging, reconciliation, position management, expiries, corporate actions, and other trading lifecycle activities.

Conduct post-trade and execution analysis to identify irregularities and areas for improvement.

Build and maintain Python tools and scripts for monitoring, alerting, analysis, reporting, and workflow automation.

Improve operational procedures, monitoring controls, and incident-response documentation.

Collaborate with trading, technology, risk, operations, and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.

Requirements

Singapore citizen/PR is required.

2–5 years of systematic trading experience is required.

Prior hands-on experience supporting, monitoring, or operating systematic or algorithmic trading strategies in a live trading environment is required.

Programming proficiency in Python. KDB is a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with teammates globally.

Strong sense of urgency with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
