Job Description

ThunderSoft is hiring a DFT Engineer to support a leading semiconductor project in Singapore.

This role is a great opportunity for early-career semiconductor engineers who are interested in DFT, test pattern development, SoC bring-up, silicon validation, and post-silicon debugging.

You will work closely with IC Design, Firmware/Software, Verification, Characterization, and ATE teams to develop and debug test solutions throughout the product development cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Develop efficient and cost-effective structural and functional test patterns to support product quality and release schedules.

Develop and validate bring-up sequences for different IP blocks at the SoC level through simulation, emulation, bench testing, and ATE testing.

Analyze test coverage, identify coverage gaps, and develop structural or functional test cases to address them.

Debug test pattern-related issues and work closely with IC Design, Firmware/Software, Verification, Characterization, and Product Test teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Support post-silicon debugging and validation activities using bench equipment.

Support RMA debugging with the Quality team to help identify root causes and improve product quality.

Work with ATE test teams to improve yield, reduce test time, and enhance overall test quality.

Participate in pre-silicon validation through simulation and post-silicon validation/debugging.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, IC Design, or a related field.

1-3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

Hands-on experience with Verilog or SystemVerilog HDL coding.

Experience with Embedded C / C firmware development for processors or microcontrollers.

Scripting experience with Tcl, Python, Perl, or similar scripting languages.

Good understanding of digital electronics and semiconductor fundamentals.

Knowledge of structural and functional test concepts and methodologies.

Experience with simulation, emulation, or post-silicon validation/debugging is preferred.
