Job Description

Join our team working on a transformative digital platform that revolutionised vehicle administration for our client. Our Vehicle Registration & Licensing System (VRLS) enables end-to-end vehicle lifecycle management—from vehicle purchase to deregistration or scrapping—through a one-stop platform connecting multiple stakeholders.

This system has strengthened coordination across Singapore's motoring ecosystem and improved access to trusted vehicle-related services. For motorists and businesses, VRLS makes transactions such as road tax renewal faster and more convenient through secure online self-service, electronic authentication, and automated financial and compliance checks. Vehicle owners can view all their vehicle-related transactions in a single online view, reducing the need to visit service counters.

The system has improved operational efficiency by shifting routine transactions to digital channels, allowing counter staff to be redeployed to higher-value customer service roles. Its scalable architecture supports continuous enhancement, including integration with vehicle inspection systems, traffic offences portals, electronic day licences and proactive payment notifications.

Overall, the VRLS team contributes to better public service delivery, stronger ecosystem integration and long-term digital capability.

What You’ll Do:

Support service request enhancementsusing Java programming

Perform database queriesusing DB2 SQL for data extraction and analysis

Assist in troubleshooting and investigatingoperational support issues

Prepare and maintaincomprehensive project documentation

Collaboratewith developers, business analysts, and project managers

Learn and applydevelopment best practices in a real-world environment

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related discipline

Basic knowledge of Java programming and SQL

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills with attention to detail

Independent, resourceful, and result-oriented with a positive attitude
