Senior Frontend Developer

This role sits within a front-office engineering group responsible for building user-facing platforms that support real-time pricing, execution, and analytics. The team partners closely with business stakeholders to deliver robust, intuitive, and performance-critical applications used daily by front-office professionals.

You will contribute to the design and delivery of modern UI solutions in an environment that values engineering quality, scalability, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

Design and implement modern UI components for applications

Own front-end development standards and contribute to UI architecture decisions

Collaborate with business users to understand functional requirements and usability needs

Work alongside backend and platform engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions

Contribute to performance tuning, resilience, and maintainability of front-office systems

Requirements

Minimum 10+ years of professional experience, with minimum at least 5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript / TypeScript

Familiarity and experience in financial services/banking space

Strong proficiency in modern web frameworks (React) is a must (5+ years hands-on experience)

Experience building complex, data-intensive user interfaces in regulated or high-availability environments

Hands-on experience with testing frameworks and automated build/deployment pipelines

Strong understanding of UI performance optimisation and responsive design

Experience working with UI frameworks, component libraries, and design systems

Exposure to backend development (e.g. Java or C#) is advantageous

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a must

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
