Job Summary

Lead the design and development of a portal application by defining architecture, coding standards, and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure backend services and responsive front-end interfaces while mentoring team members and supporting DevOps processes.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design and development of the portal application to meet business needs

Define architecture, coding standards, and best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability

Develop scalable backend services using Python and Django to support application functionality

Build responsive user interfaces using React and modern front-end frameworks for optimal user experience

Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions

Conduct code reviews and perform performance tuning to optimize application efficiency

Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability through best practices and proactive measures

Mentor and guide developers and junior team members to enhance team capabilities and code quality

Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, manage deployments, and set up environments

Required competencies and certifications

12+ years of software development experience

Proficient in Python and Django for backend development

Skilled in React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for frontend development

Experienced in designing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

Strong understanding of database design including SQL and NoSQL databases

Experience working with cloud platforms, specifically AWS

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Excellent communication and articulation skills
