AWS Cloud Engineer

The AWS Cloud Engineer role offers an opportunity to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for a technology company focused on mobility, safety, and risk analytics. Based in Singapore, the position combines cloud architecture, database development, workflow automation, security, and systems integration to support reliable and cost-efficient cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and architecture

Optimise cloud environments for security, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency

Develop and manage database schemas while improving the performance of complex SQL queries

Build and automate workflows using AWS Step Functions

Establish and enforce cloud security best practices and architectural standards

Develop APIs and SDKs to support secure integration with external partners and clients

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative cloud-based solutions

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Strong proficiency in Python programming

2-3 years of proven experience designing and deploying solutions on AWS

Solid understanding of database design, data modelling, and advanced SQL queries

Knowledge of AWS cloud principles and the AWS Well-Architected Framework

Experience with AWS security services, Git, and GitLab

AWS certifications would be an advantage

Exposure to artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies and their integration into applications would be valuable

Experience developing dashboards, internal tools, or data visualisation platforms is highly regarded

Understanding of data analytics and machine learning concepts would be beneficial
