About the role
The planning engineer prepares and maintains schedules, develops and reviews project baselines, and monitors and tracks progress. This role involves developing detailed execution schedules and plans for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) projects in the Energy infrastructure industry.
Key responsibilities
Prepare a project schedule that integrates constraints and strategies for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
Prepare logic diagram, in accordance with the Work Breakdown Structure, which form the basis for detailed level schedule reporting and analysis
Prepare and maintain baseline schedule using Primavera P6
Monitor actual progress against baseline schedules, analyse deviations and recommend remedial action
Prepare and maintain project progress curve
Prepare Daily, Weekly and Monthly Report
Prepare and monitor resource mobilization plan
Prepare Risk Register Reports
Prepare cost and planning proposal for project variations
Prepare and maintain Cost Report and Change Order Register
About you
Preferably Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years of EPC Project Planning experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Energy Infrastructure Industry
Able to operate project planning software Primavera P6
Strong analytical skills and attention to details
Able to apply Critical Path Method planning techniques to develop detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning project schedule
