Firmware Engineer

Job Summary

You will develop firmware for electronic products throughout the full product lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors to research, design, and deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and debug firmware for both legacy and new electronic products to ensure reliable performance

Research, design, and integrate algorithms, graphical user interfaces (GUI), and libraries into existing and new products to enhance functionality

Analyze test results to perform statistical analysis and fine-tune firmware for optimal performance

Maintain and improve existing firmware to increase efficiency and reliability

Assist hardware teams by troubleshooting and supporting hardware debugging activities to resolve technical issues

Develop test equipment, maintenance processes, and testing procedures to validate electronic components and products

Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to support product development and production cycles

Perform additional duties as assigned to support business goals and innovation

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Diploma or Degree in electronics, mechatronics/robotics, embedded systems, software, or related fields

No experience needed

Ability to code in C programming language to develop and maintain embedded firmware

Interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications for embedded systems to contribute to innovative product features

Knowledge of electronics and schematic diagrams to support hardware integration and troubleshooting

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical challenges

Availability to start work on short notice is advantageous
