Software Developer(JAVA) - Contract

Contract Duration - 6 months renewable

Work Location - Singapore East

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and support Java-based backend applications and REST APIs.

Participate in solution design, technical reviews, and application modernization initiatives.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Perform data analysis and write complex SQL queries to investigate issues, validate requirements, and support operational activities.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and drive solution delivery.

Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies.

Perform testing, defect resolution, root cause analysis, and production support activities.

Support SIT, UAT, deployment, and post-release stabilization activities.

Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Technical Skills

Min 3+ years Strong experience in Java backend development.

Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.

Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.

Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.

Strong ability to analyze, troubleshoot, optimize, and write complex SQL queries.

Experience performing data analysis and root cause investigation using SQL across large and complex datasets.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery methodologies.

Linux/Unix and Shell scripting knowledge.

Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and related development tools.

Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production support experience
