Electronics Engineer

Job Overview

As a Junior Electronics Engineer within the Production & Project steam, you will support the assembly, testing, and maintenance of electronic products for fare collection, payment, and transit applications - including validators, fare gates, ticket vending machines, and AFC infrastructure. This is a hands-on, entry-level role where you will learn alongside experienced engineers and build the practical skills to grow into a full Electronics Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

. Assist in the assembly, testing, and inspection of electronic boards and finished devices.

. Execute functional and production test procedures under supervision and accurately record results.

. Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of electronic assemblies, including soldering and rework.

. Support firmware flashing, device programming, and functional verification.

. Help maintain lab and production equipment, ESD discipline, and component inventory.

. Document test results, maintenance logs, and observations for engineering review.

. Support senior engineers during integration, commissioning, and project deployment.

Required Qualifications

. Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.

. Experience: 0-2 years recent graduates with strong fundamentals and relevant project/internship experience are encouraged to apply.

. Skills:

◦ Good understanding of analog and digital electronics and circuit fundamentals.

◦ Soldering ability and willingness to develop rework skills.

◦ Familiarity with lab instruments (oscilloscope, meters) and reading schematics/BOMs.

◦ Awareness of common interfaces such as UART, USB, SPI, and I2C.

◦ Strong PC skills (Windows/Linux) and good documentation habits.

◦ Familiarity with electronic and PCB design software specifically Altium Designer.

◦ Good communication skills in English.

. Problem-Solving Skills: A logical, methodical approach to troubleshooting and a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

. Hands-on Experience: Internship or academic project experience with embedded hardware or PCB assembly.

. Training: soldering or rework training.

. Industry Knowledge: Exposure to AFC, transit, or payment systems.

. Soft Skills: Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude.
