Cybersecurity Consultant, Network Security (Contract)

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Cyber Security Consultant with strong experience in cybersecurity and a solid technical foundation in network, infrastructure, and cloud security to deploy and manage cyber tools and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Make an Impact By

Support the overall technical delivery of cybersecurity tools and initiatives across the organization

Provide guidance and support to junior team members in resolving delivery challenges and customer escalations

Support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IAM and PIAM solutions

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (network, cloud, infrastructure) to implement security solutions and projects

Own and execute the technical implementation of in‑scope security technologies

Ensure timely and effective deployment of security solutions in line with approved architectures and designs

Support deployment and operations of micro‑segmentation solutions, including policy creation and enforcement

Define, implement, and manage segmentation policies to enforce least‑privilege communication

Support design and rollout of Network Detection & Response (NDR) capabilities across enterprise infrastructure

Work with SOC and engineering teams to improve detection coverage and telemetry integration across NDR, SIEM, and EDR

Support asset discovery initiatives and validate asset inventory accuracy across environments

Ensure alignment with Zero Trust principles across network, endpoint, and identity layers

Support cybersecurity audits, regulatory requirements, and internal GRC processes

Maintain and update security policies, procedures, SOPs, and technical documentation

Skills For Success

Bachelor’s degree (or diploma with relevant experience) in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

5–8 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, security operations, or related roles

Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts including threat landscape, risk management, incident response, and data protection

Good understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs, encryption)

Hands‑on experience or strong working knowledge of security technologies such as NDR, firewalls

Zero Trust Segmentation tools, vulnerability management, and asset discovery tools

Experience working in complex, regulated, or infrastructure-heavy environments is highly desirable

Strong documentation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams

Preferred Certifications and Skills

Relevant certifications (Security+, CISSP, GIAC, CCNA/CCNP Security)

Networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) are advantageous

Palo Alto / Fortinet firewall certifications

Exposure to cloud security in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments

Experience with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell) is a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage senior technical and business stakeholders
